Some of the best moments from a session are the outtakes; these are the shots that land in the ‘no
pile’ during my editing process, the funny faces or silly situations. I appreciate them, because it takes
me back to the shoot; from my perspective. It allows me to remember the moments that made me
smile and the clients I fell in love with photographing.
As a photographer I like to show only my best work to my clients, but as I get further along in my
photography journey I have started to realise that sometimes ‘the best’ isn’t pristine outfits and
‘spot-on’ smiles, perfection can sometimes mean messy faces, belly laughs and expressions that you
rarely share with the outside world; expressions that I wouldn’t see if I weren’t a photographer.
So here they are; Moments from the cutting room floor with a dash of silly.
