Over the weekend I had a scrumptious little bambino in the studio by the name of Elke. She was 6 weeks old and every inch angel for me. Mum and Dad arrived early for their session so while I got the studio ready they had the chance to relax with Elke in our comfortable viewing room. Once the studio was ready for Elke I wrapped her up in a cosy knit wrap and began my first setup.
I would love to say Elke smiled throughout her session but that would be a lie…she frowned at me the entire time although she didn’t cry or fuss at all, I soon realised that the famous ‘Elke Stare’ would become the theme to this shoot. Mum and Dad assured me that she came into the world frowning so I knew I was capturing the very essence of their stunning baby girl. As Elke and I made our way through the shoot we became fast friends,
Mum even suggesting that I come home with her to be the nanny (I would have taken this offer if I didn’t live and breathe baby photography) and dubbing me ‘the baby whisperer’ (this is the highest compliment a newborn photographer gets) This family certainly made my Saturday very magical. I can’t wait to see them again in a few weeks for their family photoshoot and capture their memories all over again.
